Chicago House is pleased to present ¡Fiesta! Día de Muertos. This event puts a modern-day spin on a traditional Latin American holiday to celebrate the lives of those who have fallen due to HIV-related illnesses, as well as to honor their lasting impact.

Partnering with the League of United Latin American Citizens, Comprensión y Apoyo a Latinos en Oposición al Retrovirus (CALOR), Latino Outreach and Understanding Division (LOUD), FLUX, Esperanza Health Centers, and Corazón Community Services, Chicago House will afford a completely cost-free event to attendees. The evening aims to lend a safe space to hold the memories of our fallen loved ones, while enjoying traditional Latin American food, beverages, and live music performances by local Latinx artists and a mariachi band.

This year’s “Fiesta” marks Chicago House’s second Latinx-centered event aimed at addressing socioeconomic health disparities amongst Latinxs by providing an opportunity to build community and afford access to sexual health and social services. Plus, there will be free food, raffle prizes, and live performances by local Latinx artists and musicians!

Chicago House is uniquely committed to combatting socioeconomic health disparities, offering mobile services to underserved communities of color in the areas of employment, housing, support for trans/gender expansive people, sexual health screenings, and medical linkage & retention programs.
