The full outer building is now complete! Grand opening projected for Fall 2008!
In January 2006, Chicago House was awarded
a Section 811 capital advance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to expand the Fred Woods Home, the larger of the two facilities that comprise the Family Support Program. The expansion adds six units to the Fred Woods Home, providing much-needed housing for the ever-growing number of families who are affected by both HIV/AIDS and homelessness. It will also expand common space for after-school tutoring, the community kitchen, and the computer lab.
Construction is now complete! The first families are slated to move in starting in the fall. Stay tuned for more updates! |
